As a fellow Illinoisan, it really has been something to see how IL has been leading on so many progressive issues. Strengthening abortion access and the book ban bill are going a long way to help so many people. As screwed up as federal politics were during the last administration, these days, so many states are racing to the bottom. Thankfully, Illinois is not one of them.

It's refreshing to be a leader, even if all of these things feel like common sense.
Right? We can't trust our electeds to make good decisions all of the time. Once in awhile, they get it right.
